He looks at the kitchen, the cabinet, the mains or the bore — whichever it is — and works out what will actually fit.

If water is leaking right now
Turn off the isolation valve if it is easy to reach — under the sink for a kitchen leak, or the main tap at the meter for anything larger — and then ring us.
